Nature house in Diepenheim

This apartment has been thoughtfully designed and furnished. The high ceilings and wooden beams create a very spacious feel. The interior of the living and sleeping areas exudes simplicity, tranquility, and warmth through its color scheme, materials, and furnishings (art, a bookshelf). The kitchenette has everything you need. The bathroom is large, and the shower is perfect. And finally, we found a “little home” with plenty of shelves and hooks to hang clothes and towels. (The towels, by the way, were of very good quality.) The bed is fine. The only thing that could be improved is the Wi-Fi reception (if we had to name one minor drawback). We didn’t have any issues with it, though.
Arjen and Nicole, our hosts, are courteous and attentive. The private entrance via the terrace—which features a comfortable sofa and cozy chairs—offers plenty of privacy. We immediately felt at home in this “cottage”; it was almost a shame to return to the bustling metropolitan area.

Dit appartement is weldoordacht vormgegeven en ingericht. De hoogte en de houten binten geven een heel ruimtelijk gevoel. Het interieur van het woon- en slaapgedeelte straalt door kleurstelling, materiaal en aankleding (kunst, een boekenkast) eenvoud, rust en warmte uit. Het keukenblokje bevat alles wat je nodig hebt. De badkamer is groot, de douche perfect. En eindelijk troffen we een 'huisje' waar voldoende rekken en haakjes waren om kleding en handdoeken aan op te hangen. (De handdoeken waren overigens van heel goede kwaliteit.) Het bed is prima. Alleen de WIFI-ontvangst zou beter moeten (om toch een minpuntje te noemen). Wij hadden daar overigens geen last van.
Arjen en Nicole, onze gastheer en gastvrouw, zijn voorkomend en zorgzaam. De eigen ingang via het terras, waar een goede bank en goedzittende stoelen staan, biedt veel privacy. We voelden ons in dit 'huisje' meteen thuis; bijna jammer om weer naar de drukke randstad terug te keren.

This “little house” is a self-contained apartment in a recently built home that, from the outside, closely resembles a traditional Twente barn (schöppe). As a result, the house blends perfectly into the landscape. It is located in the heart of the South Twente countryside. The natural garden surrounding the house complements it beautifully. From the living area and the terrace, you look out over a meadow and can see the bocage landscape for which the Achterhoek region of Gelderland and this part of Overijssel are famous. The surrounding area is ideal for bike rides along streams, across heathlands, and through forests. The historic castle gardens (Weldam, Warmelo, Twickel) are also within biking distance. Anyone staying in this “little cottage” will have no trouble enjoying both nature and the peace and quiet.

Dit 'huisje' is een zelfstandig appartement in een recent gebouwde woning die uiterlijk veel weg heeft van een traditionele Twenste schuur (schöppe). Het huis past dan ook perfect in het landschap. Het ligt midden op het Zuid-Twentse platteland. De om het huis aangelegde natuurtuin past daar prachtig bij. Vanuit het woongedeelte en vanaf het terras kijk je uit over een weiland en zie je het coulissenlandschap waar de Gelderse Achterhoek en dit deel van Overijssel beroemd om zijn. De omgeving leent zich heel goed voor fietstochten langs beekjes, heidevelden en door bossen, Ook de historische kasteeltuinen (Weldam, Warmelo, Twickel) liggen op fietsafstand. Wie in dit 'huisje' verblijft, hoeft geen moeite te doen om van de natuur én van de rust te genieten.

A wonderful new little apartment with a wonderfully spacious bed, a nice bathroom, and a cozy seating area on the wooden terrace overlooking a sea of wildflowers. Behind it, a sweeping view of a meadow where we saw fawns frolicking.
And let’s not forget the super-nice, hospitable, and friendly landlord!

Geweldig nieuw appartementje met een heerlijk ruim bed, fijne badkamer, leuk zitje op het houten terras met uitzicht over een zee van wilde bloemen. Daarachter een weids uitzicht over een weiland waar we reetjes zagen dartelen.
En niet te vergeten de super aardige, gastvrije en gezellige verhuurder!
