Step inside and experience the tranquility. This nature house is located in the middle of the Bolgerijen polder, part of the Utrecht Landscape, near Vianen, municipality of Vijfheerenlanden. All around it is green and quiet, ideal for those who want to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The house has an area of 140 m² and can accommodate 6 people. Recently completely remodeled, but the history is still present. The house was once a gamekeeper's house, and this is still reflected in the interior. Upstairs are 3 bedrooms. The ground floor bathroom has a shower and bathtub, plus a separate toilet. The kitchen has a fridge/freezer, oven and dishwasher. Outside you will enjoy the terrace. Parking on private property. Please note that the house is sometimes used for hunting (hence the name Jachtlust) and is therefore not always available. Check the calendar for current dates.
Nature and surroundings
Jachtlust is in the middle of a nature reserve, but you are never far from conviviality or culture. Right outside the door is the largest inland dyke complex of pilot whales in Europe, where you can walk through rugged woodlands, medieval quays and meadows and hay fields. The official walking route is marked with Utrechts Landschap signs. 6.5 kilometers away is Nature Center De Schaapskooi in Schoonrewoerd, surrounded by fruit trees and polder landscape. The center offers exhibitions, a small nature store and free walking and cycling routes in the area. A 10-minute drive away is the attractive town of Vianen, with over 190 national monuments and history on every street corner. The fifteenth-century Lekpoort, the Hofpoort and the leafy streets make Vianen ideal for a city stroll. Further: visit the Glass City of Leerdam, take a boat trip on the Linge River, cycle along beautiful floodplains, check out Fort Everdingen, walk in the Zouweboezem nature reserve, etc.
