In the middle of the Carsten forest, in the beautiful Reest valley, is the cozy wooden guesthouse tucked away in Buitenplaets De Bostuyn. Relax completely in your own nature house in the woods. Book from the landlord (with extra charge) an afternoon or evening Wellness with complete privacy with wood-fired hot tub and/or outdoor sauna (closed on Wednesdays). There are hiking trails from 30 minutes to 30 km, directly from the nature house. Experience nature: at night you can regularly hear the tawny owl and there are deer, badgers and bats. Recently refreshed with new kitchen, bathroom and veranda. With the gas stove with fireplace, the cottage is nice and warm. The guest house has a kitchen with oven and dishwasher, shower, toilet, bedroom with comfortable double bed and living room with sofa bed and dining table. Includes TV, internet radio and WIFI. You have your own covered terrace with nice garden chairs. Coffee and tea are included. In short, get away from it all, rest, relaxation and nature.
Nature and surroundings
The cottage is in a food forest. In the forest where the guest house is located, there are hiking trails with posts from 30 minutes to 30 km. The Reest valley is the border river between Drenthe and Overijssel and still in fairly original condition. The river still meanders through the valley and it is a beautiful varied area for cycling and walking. The area is also known for its large numbers of storks. The guesthouse is located between Reest and Boswachterij Staphorst, a large forestry with forest, heathland, beautiful recreation area with swimming pool, dog walking area, wet noses route, a Beleefpad, mountain bike routes and many hiking and biking trails. With the convenient junction system are very easy to plan your own routes. Zwolle, Meppel, Hoogeveen, Giethoorn, Dwingelderveld, the Drents-Friesche Woud, the Wieden and Weerribben and Wildlands Emmen are within 30 minutes by car. The Natura 2000 areas and National Parks have extensive recreational opportunities.
