Our nature house is located in the quiet village of Ydby/Tvolm on a small hill and offers a beautiful, sweeping view to the west. From the front, you look out over farmland, the Nissum Bredning (part of the Limfjord), and the dunes of Agger Tange, behind which the North Sea lies hidden. At the back lies the Ydby Forest, which you can walk right into via the “forest garden.” The house is equipped with all modern conveniences, including a TV, internet, and appliances. There are 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a spacious living room, dining room, fully equipped kitchen, a pantry, a lovely large sunny sunroom, and a lower level where you can play, practice yoga, or simply relax. There are solar panels, a ventilation system, and a carport where you can store your bikes or surf gear. There are several grassy areas where you can lounge in the sun, and if it gets too hot, you can cool off under the trees in the “forest garden.” In the “forest garden,” we let nature take its course. The garden is not fenced in.
Nature and surroundings
From the house, you can go on various hikes in the Ydby Forest. There’s also a fire pit in the forest that anyone can use. If you want to experience the beach and the sea, head to Agger, where you can take lovely walks along the beach and enjoy the North Sea. For sports enthusiasts, the surfing is fantastic in Krik, Agger, Vorupør, and Klitmøller—it’s no wonder this area is called “Cold Hawaii.” Birdwatchers can spot many birds in Agger Tange, and who knows—you might even see seals and porpoises! Anglers can fish in the Limfjord or from the beach at one of the piers in Agger. For an even more expansive view, you can climb Lodbjerg Fyr, and there you can also take lovely walks through the woods, heathland, and along the beach. Art lovers aren’t left out either. The SMK Thy (Statens Museum Kunst) and the Kunsthal are just around the corner (also fun with kids). And in Hurup, you’ll find the Kunstcafe with rotating exhibitions. And don’t forget to visit Trol Ask fra Ashøj!
