Welcome to Holiday Home The Horse Stable! What was once an authentic horse stable on our little estate, we have transformed with much love and attention into a comfortable and cozy retreat. Our cottage offers spacious accommodation for up to 4 people (+ possibly a crib). Ideal for a nice family time, a solo retreat or a quiet workation. With an eye on sustainability, we have chosen carefully selected second-hand furniture to give the cottage a warm, unique feel. Downstairs you'll find an atmospheric living space and all the necessary comforts, while upstairs you'll enjoy beautiful, expansive views. It is the perfect place to completely leave the hustle and bustle of everyday life behind you. (Ground floor: living room and kitchen are wheelchair accessible / single bedroom, separate toilet and bathroom with open shower are wheelchair accessible. The kitchen is not height-adjustable).
Nature and surroundings
Our cottage is hidden among the trees in quiet Dalerveen, Southeast Drenthe. We also call our yard our own "little island among the meadows. At the end of a narrow, dead-end road you will find absolute tranquility. Here nature is largely allowed to take its course. While you enjoy our chickens running around in our yard, with a little luck you can see the hares and deer in our garden or running over the surrounding fields. The rural environment is ideal for beautiful walks and bike rides through the countryside of Drenthe. Whether you want to soak up culture in the nearby villages, spot Scottish Highlanders or megalithic tombs, or are just looking for the ultimate silence to unwind: nature starts here literally as soon as you step out the front door. Active family outings can also be found a short distance away. Think Wildlands zoo, Aqua Mundo water park and Plopsa Indoor amusement park.
