We renovated our vacation home in 2025: * Modern, detached home (70 m²) * with a private garden of 200 m² / patio / dining table / lounge area * with a private entrance * 2 km from the German border * Large, stylishly furnished living room * 55-inch TV * New 17 m² bathroom with a large rain shower * Kitchen with combination microwave and air fryer * Electric kettle and * Nespresso coffee machine * Use of washing machine and dryer * Private terrace with dining table * Lounge sofa in the garden * Everything on one level, no stairs (1 step to the garden) * Breakfast, bed linens, and towels are not included in the price but can be booked separately. Everyone can choose according to their own budget. * We will deliver breakfast at an agreed-upon time in two crates. Nature and surroundings
We—Frank, Dani, and our little dog Bella—know how hard it is to go on vacation with a dog. There aren’t many places to rent, and you often have to pay extra for your dog(s). At our place, dogs are part of the family and can stay for free. They’re also welcome on the couch (please put a blanket down first—we provide them too) and can snuggle up next to you, just like at home. There are plenty of off-leash areas and dog-friendly beaches nearby, perfect for long walks and “water lovers.” We live here on peatland, which is a unique landscape, beautiful in every season. If you’d like to go cycling here, you’ll find a (flat) paradise with 1,200 km of bike paths. And for those seeking a spiritual experience: there are no fewer than 10 (!) dolmens to discover in the area. Another appealing aspect is that Germany is just a stone’s throw away. Filling up on gas and doing your grocery shopping on the cheap will already pay for part of your vacation.

It was just awesome!
Was gewoon super!
The cottage is beautiful and fully equipped, clean, spacious, and has a garden where the dogs could run around freely. There were blankets to put on the couch so the dogs could sit there, and there were dog treats, and we were able to have coffee right away. Breakfast was delicious too, and they provided takeout containers so we could pack some food for lunch. We went grocery shopping in Germany, visited Orvelte, and, of course, went for walks. The owner even joined us for a walk with the dog one evening and made us feel right at home—it was fantastic! A warm welcome and they have hearts of gold—definitely highly recommended!!!!!!
Het huisje is prachtig en van alle gemakken voorzien, schoon, ruim en een tuin waar de honden heerlijk konden rondlopen. Er waren kleden voor over de bank zodat de honden daar op mochten en er waren hondenkoekjes en we konen ook gelijk aan de koffie. Het ontbijt was ook heerlijk en er zaten inpakspullen bij zodat we ook nog wat meenamen voor de lunch. We hebben boodschappen in Duitsland gedaan naar Orvelte geweest en uiteraard gewandeld. De eigenaar is ook 1 avond met de hond meegeweest en ons voorbereiden top! Een warm welkom en ze hebben een hart van goud zeker een aanrader!!!!!!
