At Hoeve Lieshout in Weert, you can enjoy a stay with a historic flair. You’ll be staying in a former stable that has been transformed into a single-story, two-person countryside apartment with a sweeping view from your private terrace over the green grounds and surrounding countryside. The cozy layout features a sitting area with two comfortable armchairs, a folding table with stools, a smart TV, and a luxurious open kitchen equipped with a freestanding 2-burner induction cooktop, a microwave, a kettle, and a Dolce Gusto machine. There’s also a modern bathroom with a shower; a hair dryer is provided for your convenience. After an active day, you can relax in the spacious double box-spring bed (1.60 x 2.00 meters). An extra nice touch: upon arrival, the bed is made, and bath and kitchen linens are provided free of charge; the local bike rental shop can have pre-booked bikes ready for you, and you’re just a short ride away from your very own bike café. Nature and surroundings
The historic Hoeve Lieshout, built in 1932, is located in the rural outskirts of Weert, on the edge of the beautiful Grenspark Kempen~Broek. This border region between the Netherlands and Belgium is known for its immense diversity of landscapes. Hikers and cyclists can head straight into the countryside from the farm (near bike junction 81). There, you’ll find a picturesque setting of meadows, forests, streams, and idyllic wetlands such as the Moeselpeel. It’s an oasis of tranquility where meadow birds, Scottish Highland cattle, and red deer thrive. For active nature lovers, the area offers a dense network of unpaved trails and singletrack paths. In addition, De Groote Peel National Park is just a short distance away, perfect for a day trip through a vast and mysterious raised bog area. Just a 10-minute walk from the farmhouse, you’ll also find a modern farm shop. Here you can pick up local specialties, farm-fresh asparagus, and freshly prepared, homemade meals.
