Welcome to Twente Where peace, space and genuine hospitality are self-evident. Step inside our nature house, an attractive farmhouse apartment where the Twente outdoors immediately embraces you. Here you will enjoy pleasant luxury, a private entrance and the cozy charm of a former calf stable that has been carefully transformed into a comfortable stay for two. On our green farmyard, where you can hear the soft sound of horses and the fresh outdoor air meets you. You will experience the pure simplicity of the countryside, without compromising on comfort. The village of Weerselo (6 minutes by bike) offers everything you need: stores, restaurants and the friendly atmosphere so typical of Twente. The cottage is fully equipped with a cozy sitting area, a dining area, a spacious kitchen (dishwasher, stove, hood, fridge freezer). A bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. A fine double bed (160×200). Central heating, free-wifi. It is pet-free & smoke-free.
Nature and surroundings
In Northeast Twente the coulisse landscape is at its most beautiful, here you will find wooded banks, winding dirt roads, stream valleys with clear (drinking) water, alternating forests, fields and old farms. Nowhere does it feel large or massive. With many historical places that tell the story of Twente, such as 'Het Stift' of Weerselo with its monastery and beautiful Stiftkerkje. And 'Het Everloo' an ancient estate with lanes, woods and an almost hushed atmosphere. Then 'The Roderveld' an old moor and bog area where you still feel the prehistoric Twente. And not to forget on biking distance the picturesque art town Ootmarsum with its galleries, half-timbered houses. Nature areas nearby (10-15 min) 'Het Springendal' springs, waterfalls, hills and quiet forests. The 'Valley of the Mosbeek' one of the most popular hiking areas in the Netherlands and 'The Lutterzand' a sand drifts with the meandering river 'The Dinkel' through it.
