Welcome to Twente Where peace, space, and genuine hospitality come naturally. Step inside our nature house, a charming farmhouse apartment where Twente’s outdoor life immediately embraces you. Here you’ll enjoy pleasant luxury, a private entrance, and the cozy charm of a former calf barn that has been lovingly transformed into a comfortable retreat for two. On our green farm campground (adults only), where you can hear the gentle sounds of horses and breathe in the fresh outdoor air, you’ll experience pure simplicity without sacrificing comfort. The village of Weerselo (a 6-minute bike ride away) offers everything you need: shops, restaurants, and the friendly atmosphere so typical of Twente. The cottage is fully equipped with a cozy sitting area, a dining area, and a spacious kitchen (dishwasher, stovetop, range hood, fridge-freezer). A bathroom with a shower, sink, and toilet. A comfortable double bed (160×200). Central heating, free Wi-Fi, and a portable air conditioner. The cottage is pet-free and smoke-free.
Nature and surroundings
In Northeast Twente, the bocage landscape is at its most beautiful; here you’ll find hedgerows, winding dirt roads, stream valleys with clear (drinking) water, and a mix of forests, fields, and old farmsteads. Nowhere does it feel vast or crowded. There are many historic sites that tell the story of Twente, such as “Het Stift” in Weerselo with its monastery and beautiful little church. And “Het Everloo,” a centuries-old estate with tree-lined avenues, woods, and an almost serene atmosphere. Then there’s “Het Roderveld,” an ancient heathland and raised bog area where you can still sense Twente’s primeval past. And not to be forgotten, within biking distance, is the picturesque art town of Ootmarsum with its galleries and half-timbered houses. Nearby nature areas (10–15 min): “Het Springendal,” with springs, small waterfalls, hills, and quiet forests. The “Dal van de Mosbeek,” one of the most beloved hiking areas in the Netherlands, and “Het Lutterzand,” a sand drift with the meandering “De Dinkel” river running through it. Free cancellation within 7 days of your booking confirmation, provided the booking request was made more than 28 days before the start date. For bookings starting within 28 days, free cancellation applies within 24 hours. If you cancel within the specified period, you are entitled to a full refund of the booking amount.
After that, you will receive a partial refund of the trip cost and a 100% refund of the deposit:
• Up to 42 days before arrival: 70% refund
• 42–28 days before arrival: 40% refund
• 28 days through the day of arrival: 10% refund
• On the day of arrival or later: no refund
- Out of respect for nature: silence between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM.

- No parties or events are allowed.
- This nature house is not suitable for groups of young people, students and sports teams.
- Waste separation is mandatory in this nature house.
