The nature house is on a dead-end road, in the forest, on the edge of Glaskogen National Park. Here you can wander endlessly, swim in the countless lakes, pick berries, search for mushrooms, canoe, do yoga, hike, bike, light fires.... The bedroom has a double bed and a single bed. The couch in the living room is a sofa bed. Ideal for 2 adults with 2 children, or 3 adults. The house is heated with a beautiful wood stove that is the centerpiece of the living room. The kitchen is simple and our guests usually cook outside on the fire or electric stove. You can also use the wood-fired stove or oven. Water is drawn from the well or stream; there is no running water. A water filter is provided, and there is a simple outdoor shower, and the billy washes in the creek. There is a modern dry toilet in the outbuilding which is also the traditional Swedish löppis.
Nature and surroundings
Distance to swimming water: 10 minutes walk.On 2000 meters of land is the wooden cottage of about 65m2. On the property is a lot of privacy, your only neighbor is the landlord. Useful if you have questions about the area, for example, or want a hand with stoking or the like. The area is characterized by its many lakes, forests and bogs. There are endless hiking trails and canoe routes. Also Karlstad and Arvika are nearby with several restaurants, stores and museums. Nature is asking to be discovered. You may just go off the trail here and can therefore really explore. Just make sure you don't get lost (too much) because the national park is large. You can encounter animals like moose, fox, hare, adder, bear, wolf, deer and if you're lucky the lynx. In the national park are many shelters with fire pit (and often wood) where you can use. Often by the water. Swim and grill!
