At this beautiful waterfront location you will find our beautiful hiker's huts. This concerns hiker's hut the Woodpecker and has 2 bedrooms with space for 4 people. One bedroom is furnished with a 2-bed and a bedroom with 1 bunk bed. The cabin is cozy and is equipped with all comforts such as cooking facilities, refrigerator, microwave, hot/cold water, shower and toilet. There is no TV or wifi, so you can enjoy the beautiful nature around you. There is also the possibility of fishing. From your own terrace you can enjoy the peace, the beautiful view and the vast farmlands. Attention! Accommodation is not suitable for the disabled.
Nature and surroundings
The hiker's hut can be found in the picturesque village of Nieuwe Niedorp along the canal de Rijd in the countryside of North Holland. Nearby are the cozy towns of Schagen, Alkmaar and Hoorn. A trip to the beach or the Schoorl forest are also nearby. With the following beaches no less than 22 km away you will find Callantsoog, Groote Keeten, Hargen aan Zee and Petten. Furthermore, the area has many hiking and cycling routes with bulb fields which in the spring are in bloom with tulips. With 35 min drive you are at the ferry to Texel, where for a small fee by bike or as a walker you can take the boat and spend a day here. There is also the possibility of fishing in the area. If you are looking for a place in a rural area and want to take a look at life outside the city, you have come to the right place.
