Unwind in this peaceful, cozy, and stylish cottage in a forest park in the Veluwe, surrounded by hiking and biking trails and recreational areas. The cottage features two bedrooms, a living room with a sleeper sofa, and is surrounded by a green garden where even small children can have a great time. Enjoy the birdsong, explore the beautiful surrounding nature, or head into the hustle and bustle of Hattem (5 min) or Zwolle (10 min). We are Anne: Annebeth & Annefleur, friends for over 30 years. In early 2026, we bought the forest cottage together with our families and transformed it into a little paradise. We hope you’ll enjoy it just as much as we do! The cottage is very easy to reach by both car and public transportation and is child- and dog-friendly.
Nature and surroundings
Our cottage is located in the beautiful nature reserve “De Vuursteenberg.” The nature reserve consists of 90 hectares of natural landscape, including the 26-meter-high hill from which the area takes its name, “De Vuursteenberg.” The “De Vuursteenberg” area is considered one of the unique locations that formed during the last ice age. It consists partly of an older forest with Scots pines, beech avenues, and birch hedgerows. A large part of the nature reserve also consists of heathland. For hikers, cyclists, and those seeking peace and quiet, our “IJsselheide” forest park is a must-visit. In addition to all the hiking and biking trails, there is a large off-leash area for dogs within walking distance.
