Our spacious vacation home, which accommodates six to a maximum of twelve people, is located in the heart of the forest, surrounded by tranquility and nature, with views of open spaces. The home is situated on a sprawling property where you can fully enjoy the silence, the greenery, and the great outdoors. Perfect for a total immersion in the tranquility of nature. The 200-year-old farmhouse has recently been renovated using eco-friendly building materials (insulation made of lime-hemp and clay plaster). The rooms offer every comfort: a shower, a toilet, and a spacious bed. All rooms are heated with underfloor heating (with cooling available in the summer). The living room features a cozy wood-burning fireplace. The kitchen has a walk-in refrigerator, so you don’t have to worry about grocery shopping. The furnishings are high-end.
Nature and surroundings
Inspired by the nature around us and with the desire to share that peace and beauty, we created two vacation homes: one on the edge and one in the middle of the Drongengoed Forest in East Flanders. "Door-drongen-Goed" The nature house is located in the heart of the Drongengoed, about 500 meters from an airfield used only on weekends by small sports planes. The noise is minimal and barely audible inside the house. Silence reigns in the mornings and evenings. In principle, the cabin is accessible to our guests only on foot, after a pleasant 1-kilometer walk through the woods from a parking lot. We see this as an advantage: you’re immediately immersed in the silence of the forest. We’ll bring your luggage and provisions to the cabin in a van. Parking is available at the Krakeel parking lot. Upon arrival and departure, we provide luggage transport so you can enjoy your stay without any worries. This way, we keep the forest trails quiet and the forest as it’s meant to be: a place for silence and experiencing nature.

A beautiful nature house finished down to the last detail. The interior is high-end and stylish, yet also very cozy and comfortable. They’ve truly thought of everything, and everything you need is provided. The cottage is also ideal for a group of friends or family: each room has its own bathroom, which is incredibly practical when staying with several people.
The owners, Piet & Liesbeth, also deserve a special mention. They are incredibly hospitable and go out of their way to make your stay as pleasant as possible. You can tell they put a lot of care and love into the cottage. A wonderful place to enjoy time together, unwind, and get away from it all for a while.
