Our spacious vacation home, which accommodates six to a maximum of twelve people, is located in the heart of the forest, surrounded by tranquility and nature, with views of open spaces. The home is situated on a sprawling property where you can fully enjoy the silence, the greenery, and the outdoors. Perfect for a complete immersion in the tranquility of nature. The 200-year-old farmhouse has recently been renovated using eco-friendly building materials (insulation with lime-hemp and clay plaster). The rooms offer every comfort: a shower, a toilet, and a spacious bed. All rooms are heated with underfloor heating (with cooling available if needed). The living area features a cozy wood-burning fireplace. The furnishings are high-end.
Nature and surroundings
Inspired by the nature around us and with the desire to share that peace and beauty, we created two cozy vacation homes: one on the edge of the forest and one in the heart of the Drongengoed Forest in East Flanders. We named both vacation homes “Door-drongen-Goed.” The nature house is located in the heart of the Drongengoed, the largest contiguous forest and nature reserve in East Flanders. As a result, the cottage is accessible only on foot, via a beautiful walk of about one kilometer through the woods. While some may see this as a drawback, we consider it an advantage: you’re immediately immersed in the silence of the woods, and you begin your stay in an atmosphere of tranquility. We’ll bring your luggage and provisions to the cottage in a van. Parking is available at the Krakeel parking lot. Upon arrival and departure, we provide luggage transport so you can enjoy your stay without any worries. This way, we keep the forest trails quiet and preserve the forest as it was meant to be: a place for tranquility and experiencing nature.
