Nature house in Savogna

The house has been renovated using stone and wood in the traditional architectural style of the Natisone Valleys, centered around Cividale del Friuli—a charming Lombard town rich in history and museums, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Our accommodation is spread over two levels, featuring a fully equipped kitchen, three bedrooms, a living room with a sofa bed, and two large bathrooms with windows—one with a shower stall and the other with a bathtub. It is surrounded by a 500-square-meter private, fenced-in garden with trees, highlighted by a centuries-old linden tree, and features a wooden porch and a barbecue for outdoor lunches and dinners. It features a small vegetable garden, an orchard, a fountain with drinking water, and parking for your cars. Our home is ideal for a large family, a group of friends, or even two families. The house and garden are for your exclusive use.

It’s a great place for walks along the green nature trails, where you can discover the tranquility of the ancient rural villages that characterize the area: Tercimonte, Masseris, Dus, Jellina, Losaz, Montemaggiore, Polava, Topolò, etc. It is located at an elevation of 560 meters toward the summit of Mount Matajur (1,650 meters), where you can follow the hiking trails. Heading down into the valley, it’s pleasant to stop at the natural sandy coves hidden among the vegetation, such as the freshwater beaches of Biarzo and Purgessimo in San Pietro al Natisone, and to visit the Kot waterfalls. Alternatively, 70 km away are the larger beaches of Grado, with black sand and very salty water. Our location is convenient for exploring all of Slovenia: the nearby historic town of Kobarid, the emerald-colored coves of the Isonzo River, the picturesque Valley of the Seven Lakes with Triglav National Park, Lake Most Na Soci, and Mount Kolovrat with its World War I trenches.
