Dew is in the corner of the park - the most secluded of six forest houses, with the most privacy. Green roof and living facade let it blend into the forest. A wood-fired hot tub awaits on your own terrace: light a fire, stars above, forest all around you. Inside, a double-height atrium living room surprises with a sturdy steel staircase that climbs up to a glass bridge. That bridge connects two bedrooms upstairs with interior glass walls - light and space to every corner. The master suite is on the ground floor, with bathtub AND walk-in shower. All three have double beds and private en-suite bathrooms; no one has to wait in the morning. The kitchen is equipped for six (Nespresso, dishwasher, oven), the dining table ready for long dinners. Underfloor heating everywhere, powered by a wood-burning pellet stove. Bed linen, towels and bathrobes are ready; washing and drying machine in the house. Nature and surroundings
Through the back gate of the park you are directly in the forest - no road in between, just trees. Walk as far as you like; across the street is Bronlaak, a historic anthroposophical estate. One walk takes you from English landscape gardens, through rolling Peel heath, to deep in ancient forest. A few minutes' drive away are the state forests of Sint Anthonis; for a day trip, National Park De Maashorst and De Maasduinen are within easy reach.What do you see along the way? Deer grazing on the edge of the woods at dusk. A buzzard circling above the heathland. Butterflies dancing across sunny clearings. Footpaths and cycle paths literally start at the gate. For fresh produce and a nice walk you can visit Winkel Bronlaak. You'll find home-grown vegetables, cheese, dairy, weavings and candles - all handmade on the estate. Open Monday through Saturday, 9:30am-4:30pm.
