The spacious, insulated wooden log cabin (2023) has an unobstructed view over the meadows of Natuurmonumenten. This manages the overflow area where we live. The interior is simple but very suitable for walkers or cyclists who want to experience the beautiful surroundings. The road on which we are located is often busy but because the cottage is located behind the farmhouse, the nuisance is limited. The yard is shared with a family with children and 2 dogs, but the log cabin offers private space. The next neighbors are the 2 mooching ducks and the chickens that scavenge in the meadow.The cottage can accommodate 1-2 people and is equipped with compost toilet and electric heating. The kitchen is equipped with electric stove, kettle and hot and cold water.
Nature and surroundings
The Holtingerveld, Dwingerveld and Drents Friese woud are beautiful walking and cycling areas. The Drenthepad runs about 1 km from the location. Forests, heathland, fens, meadows alternate. Havelte, Dwingeloo and Diever are the nearest beautiful villages with amenities. All 3 at 6-8 km distance from Uffelte. Walking maps are available.
