Nature House on the Amstel | Peace, Canoeing & Hot Tub Wake up on the Amstel, step right into nature, and feel the peace immediately. This unique cottage was hand-built from natural materials and is nestled in the heart of nature. That’s why it feels warm, peaceful, and authentic. Everything is simply and thoughtfully furnished, with just the right amount of comfort you need to unwind. Inside, you’ll find a bright living area, a separate bedroom, and a cozy bathroom. Outside, the tranquility begins right away. You’ll look out onto the greenery and the water, and feel the open space all around you. You can use the canoes to paddle down the Amstel River or rent bikes to explore the area. At the end of the day, step into the hot tub (bookable for €25) and let the hustle and bustle wash away. In the morning, I’ll provide a fresh breakfast so you can start your day at a leisurely pace. The cottage is still under construction, but we look forward to welcoming you starting in mid-May!
Nature and surroundings
The charm of this place lies in its surroundings. You’ll be staying surrounded by nature, right on the Amstel River. Here, you’ll naturally slow down. In the morning, a gentle stillness often hangs over the water, and all you can hear are birds and the rustling of the trees. From the cottage, you can walk or jog right along the Amstel, on quiet paths and past expansive meadows. Hop into a canoe and experience the surroundings from the water, or grab a bike and explore the many small roads and dikes in the area. A short distance away are beautiful nature reserves such as the Nieuwkoopse Plassen and De Groene Jonker. These are places where you can truly get away from it all. You’ll find water, reeds, birds, and open space—perfect for walking, running, or simply being still. This is a setting for people who love being outdoors, who want to be active while also slowing down. No crowds, no rush—just space, nature, and fresh air.

We were only in the area and at the cottage for two days. That wasn't long enough to get a general impression. Breakfast was delicious, and the hosts were friendly.
we zijn maar 2 dagen in het gebied en huisje geweest. Te kort voor een algehele indruk. Ontbijtje was heerlijk en de beheerders vriendelijk.
The peace, space, and nature in the area were great. The view from the cottage was beautiful.
rust, ruimte en natuur in de omgeving was goed. uitzicht vanuit het huisje prachtig.
