Not having to do anything, just being. In Polderlodge De Verademing you will automatically come to rest. This sustainable lodge is located on the farmyard of the Koorevaar family, in the middle of the Goudriaan polder, overlooking meadows and an ancient windmill. Inside, it feels light and warm. You sleep in a comfortable king-size bed and wake up to the soft morning light over the land. The kitchen is fully equipped - perfect for a leisurely breakfast or a long evening of dining. In the sitting area, plop down with a book or just look outside, where something is always moving. The bathroom is a place in itself, with a nice rain shower, care products from Maris Stella Marie and as an extra luxury: your own private sauna. Just warm up, step outside and take in the fresh polder air - now that's relaxing. Outside is also a good place. With a wide view, birds accompanying your day and at night a sky full of stars. Here you slow down automatically.
Nature and surroundings
The polder literally begins at your front door. Put on your walking shoes or get on your bike and discover the landscape of the Alblasserwaard. Narrow roads along the water, reeds gently moving in the wind and here and there a windmill that is still turning. A short distance away is Kinderdijk, where you can walk or sail between the windmills. The fortified town of Nieuwpoort is also nearby - a place where you step back in time, with old streets, city gates and views over the river. Get fresh local produce from a nearby farm or settle down at a local waterside terrace (restaurant het Raadhuis is an 8-minute walk away) Whether you go out or just stay where you are - this place invites you to slow down and get away from it all.
