Really enjoy with this new Nature House overlooking the forest edge from your own veranda. In the middle of the Carstenbos on a clearing is our house with large garden ( 6200 m2). In the back of the garden we rent out 2 nature houses. The log cabin has lots of privacy, many windows and can be booked from about mid-April, when the last jobs and finishing is done. You can book our wellnesstuyn with sauna and wood-fired hot tub for an afternoon or evening (subject to availability) for an additional 85 euros. Our plot is partly forest and partly food forest which is under development from about 2013. You can explore the food forest with our forest garden tour. We also organize tours/workshops and sell homemade products from the food forest. The log cabin has a spacious bedroom with double bed ( 160 x 200), a bathroom with shower and sink, a toilet, a living room with kitchen, dining area and sofa bed ( sofa bed is 140 x 200), a sleeping loft and veranda.
Nature and surroundings
In the beautiful unspoiled Reest valley on the border of Overijssel and Drenthe, you will find our Nature House in a clearing in the Carsten forest near IJhorst. Bicycle tours and walks are available directly from your cottage. From 20 minutes to 5 hours of marked walks and with the cycling junction network you plan your own bike ride. Forestry Staphorst with swimming recreation area De Zwarte Dennen, the Reestdal and bird area Vledders and Leijerhooilanden about 1 km away, several National Parks and Natura 2000 areas, Giethoorn, Meppel and Hanseatic city Zwolle within 30 minutes by car, Wildlands, etc. Many restaurants for all tastes within 20 car minutes, in short, there is plenty to do. But especially ideal to do nothing and enjoy the tranquility, wellness, bird sounds and nature. The bus stop of the local bus is over 1 km in IJhorst.
