    The brand-new chalet is fully equipped. It has three bedrooms with comfortable beds and nice linens. The bathroom has a wonderful shower and clean towels. Screen doors have been installed on the windows so you can comfortably leave them slightly open. The kitchen has everything you need. We were given a wonderful welcome and a warm send-off. The nice little gift and sweet card made us feel very welcome.
    The wagon we used to haul our stuff from the car to the chalet was great. By the way, there’s plenty of parking space for the car.

    We had a really wonderful time at the orchard! What a lovely place—and so peaceful. It was perfect with this beautiful weather. We stayed in the back chalet. A gorgeous spot that stays nice and cool in the shade of the trees, with a patio and private garden where you can relax in a chair on the grass. The sheep are happily grazing in the meadow. We went on some wonderful bike rides (Fred’s bikes are the best!) and saw a lot of the surrounding area. Forests, dunes, beaches, towns, and the countryside—it’s all nearby. The Schoorl Dunes are absolutely beautiful for walking and biking, and the beaches are so lovely. The charming town of Alkmaar is also within easy reach.
