Nature house in Nordwestuckermark

The cottage has two small rooms with a separate entrance. The larger room has a 1.40-wide bed with a narrow loft bed above it. The second room has a fold-out couch and a narrow loft bed. Almost everything was built by hand; the wood is protected with organic wood oil and insulated with hemp. An infrared heater provides warmth—€0.30 per kWh. During severe frost, only one room gets very warm. Shade nets and a fan help keep the heat at bay. There is a summer kitchen with a gas stove—but no running water. A small kitchen and a mini-bathroom with a shower are about 20 m away. Both are occasionally used by other guests as well. The kitchen has Wi-Fi. The approximately 3,000 m² property offers plenty of space to enjoy the outdoors, a campfire site, and a pond. It is designed to blend with nature, and only the paths are mowed regularly. Socially well-behaved dogs are welcome guests. I live on the farm, and there is another vacation rental in my house. Some of the electricity is generated on-site.

Augustfelde is a tiny village in the Uckermark, about 20 km west of Prenzlau. It’s generally very quiet here. You rarely come across other people on walks. A small lake and a beautiful forest are just over a kilometer away. The Feldberg Lake District, which is more developed for tourism, is 25 km away. On the property, you can spot lizards, grass snakes, and frogs, for example. The adjacent field is farmed by an organic farmer. He regularly sells fruit, vegetables, honey, and eggs in the village. There’s also a lovely space for meditation, massages, and coaching. I offer massages and coaching to my guests upon request. My little dog loves having guests on the farm, and if there are no other dogs around, my cat sometimes comes over for a cuddle. The only public transportation here is the school bus; the nearest stop with more frequent service is in Rittgarten, 3 km away. The closest train station is Prenzlau.
