Tucked away in the greenery of Central Drenthe lies this nature house: a lovely, cozy spot for those who love peace and quiet, nature, and being active outdoors. The studio features a spacious bathroom, a comfortable double bed with an adjustable mattress, and a small, simple kitchen. From the front door, you can walk straight to Het Mantingezand and the Geeserbos. After a day of biking or hiking, relax in the garden, by the little pond, or in the sun among the hydrangeas. A wonderful base for people who truly want to experience nature. Less suitable for people with limited mobility. Good to know There is no supermarket in the village. Although it’s usually quiet here, you may occasionally hear sounds of daily life. Our office is located in the rear section of the unit, where we work during the week and occasionally hold online meetings (usually starting at 9:00 a.m.) Limited public transportation The bike rack is not covered.
Nature and surroundings
The nature house is located in a peaceful spot in the heart of Drenthe, surrounded by silence, nature, and open space. Here, you’ll wake up to the sounds of birds and can walk or bike right into the Mantingezand and the Geeserbos. Dwingelderveld National Park (20 km) is also nearby. There are plenty of great day trips in the area: Westerbork (12 km), the Kamp Westerbork Memorial Center (24 km), Planetron Dwingeloo (21 km), the Drents Museum in Assen (32 km), Hoogeveen for shopping (13 km), and TT Assen (30 km). Also visit the Orvelte Museum Village, the Van Gogh House, Zweeloo, Oud Aalden with its historic village green and old pancake farm, Ansen Tea House, the sheepfold in Ruinen, the Hunebedden Route, and Wildlands Adventure Zoo in Emmen. Everything is nearby, and you can always return to the tranquility of the cottage.

Free cancellation within 7 days of your booking confirmation, provided the booking request was made more than 28 days before the start date. For bookings starting within 28 days, free cancellation applies within 24 hours. If you cancel within the specified period, you are entitled to a full refund of the booking amount.
After that, you will receive a partial refund of the trip cost and a 100% refund of the deposit:
• Up to 42 days before arrival: 70% refund
• 42–28 days before arrival: 40% refund
• 28 days through the day of arrival: 10% refund
• On the day of arrival or later: no refund
A deposit of €100.00 applies. You will be refunded after check-out.
- Out of respect for nature: silence between 10:00 PM and 7:30 AM.
- Minimum age of main booker: 23 years.
- Smoking is not allowed in this nature house.
- No fireworks are allowed at this Nature House.
- No parties or events are allowed.
- This nature house is not suitable for groups of young people, students and sports teams.
- Waste separation is mandatory in this nature house.
