Nature house in Schipluiden

Cottage was poor. Kitchen worn out. Actually the whole cottage was worn out. Garden very nice, terrace bad. Next to the cottage was a trailer with coarse dirt. Only because the weather was beautiful we stayed. In bad weather we would have left earlier.

Huisje was slecht. Keuken versleten. Eigenlijk het hele huisje was versleten. Schoonmaak zeer matig.
Tuin heel mooi, terras slecht. Naast het huisje stond een aanhangwagen met grof vuil.
Alleen omdat het prachtig weer was zijn we gebleven. Bij slecht weer waren we eerder vertrokken.

Peace, space and nature was nothing wrong with it. The cottage, however, was clearly in need of refurbishment.

Rust, ruimte en natuur was niks mis mee. Het huisje echter was duidelijk aan een opknapbeurt toe.

The location is, for this part of the Netherlands, perfect. The cottage is good for a few days.

De ligging is, voor dit deel van Nederland, perfect. Het huisje is goed voor een paar dagen.

Schipluiden, under the smoke of Rotterdam. Could that be something, we were guided by the route planner through Schiedam, then into the polder. Along the Schie. And suddenly you find yourself in another world. Green, peace, space, polder, water. Parking between the water and the road, and then onto the grounds. You hear the quiet, where you expect to hear the A13 and A4. The cottage was spacious enough, and through the back door you step onto the terrace. You can walk through to a private terrace by the water, where you have a wonderful view into the polder. We were invited to definitely walk around the garden as well. Nature, as nature should be. No raked lawns, but nature that is allowed to be itself.

We werden door de routeplanner door Schiedam geloodst, daarna ging het de polder in. Langs de Schie. En opeens bevind je je in een andere wereld. Groen, rust, ruimte, polder, water.
Parkeren tussen het water en de weg, en dan het terrein op. Je hoort de rust, waar je de A13 en de A4 verwacht te horen. Het huisje was voldoende ruim, en via de achterdeur stap je op het terras. Je kan doorlopen tot een privé-terrasje aan het water, waar je heerlijk de polder in kijkt.
We werden uitgenodigd om zeker ook een rondje door de tuin te lopen. Natuur, zoals natuur mag zijn. Geen aangeharkte plantsoentjes, maar natuur die zichzelf mag zijn.
