Nature house in De Cocksdorp

The cottage has comfortable chairs and mattresses. Because the decor is very light-colored, we were always careful not to make any stains. We were disappointed that the wood stove inside was only for decoration and that we couldn’t light a cozy fire in it. The shed could use a bit more tidying up so that the patio furniture is a little easier to access. Communication with the owners went very well. We had a fantastic weekend!

Het huisje heeft comfortabele stoelen en matrassen. Doordat de inrichting heel licht is waren we altijd wel op ons hoede om te proberen geen vlekken te maken. We vonden het jammer dat de houtkachel binnen alleen decoratief was en dat we daar niet een gezellig vuurtje in konden maken. De schuur zou wat meer opgeruimd mogen worden, zodat het tuinmeubilair wat makkelijker bereikbaar is. Communicatie met de eigenaren verliep uitstekend. We hebben een fantastisch weekend gehad!

The cottage is located right behind the dunes near the Slufter, and it feels like you’re sitting in the front row. Early in the morning, we climbed over the dune and watched the sun rise; the light on the dune landscape and the water flowing through it is simply magical. We also covered a lot of kilometers by bike; it’s fantastic, of course, that there are so many bike paths on Texel.

Het huisje ligt nèt achter de duinen bij de Slufter en dat voelt alsof je op de eerste rang zit. Vroeg in de ochtend klommen we het duin over en zagen de zon opkomen, het licht op het duinlandschap en het water dat daar doorheen stroomt is dan sprookjesachtig mooi. We hebben ook op de fiets veel kilometers gemaakt, het is natuurlijk fantastisch dat er op Texel zoveel fietspaden zijn.

A clean and modern cottage. The garden is somewhat neglected. Please note that you’ll need to bring your own supplies, including toilet paper, dishwasher tablets, trash bags for the pedal bin, and possibly some lightweight garden chairs. The shed is too full to store your bikes there.

Schoon en modern ingericht huisje. De tuin is enigszins verwaarloosd. Er dient rekening mee gehouden te worden dat je zelf moet zorgen voor o.a. toiletpapier, vaatwastabletten, pedaalemmerzakken, en eventueel makkelijke tuinstoelen. Het schuurtje staat te vol om daar je fietsen in te plaatsen.

A beautiful location behind the dunes, with a lovely bike path running right by it. In just a few minutes, you can reach the Slufter, a stunning nature reserve perfect for hiking.

Mooie locatie achter de duinen, waar een mooie fietsroute langs loopt. Binnen enkele minuten bereik je de Slufter, een prachtig natuurgebied om te wandelen.

The house was fully equipped, and the beds were comfortable.
