In the center of Het Groene Hart, the most beautiful part of South Holland, on the border with North Holland and Utrecht, we have a beautiful farmhouse. This is an apartment on the first floor of the (otherwise empty) stable. The farm is located in the outskirts of Nieuwkoop, near the lakes and river Kromme Mijdrecht. Our yard borders the beautiful bird area De Groene Jonker, where you can enjoy walks and bird watching. The apartment is over 100m2 and is fully equipped. There are two bedrooms each with a comfortable double bed, a spacious shower, a separate toilet and a spacious living room with open kitchen. it is suitable for up to 4 people. The entrance on the ground floor is a substantial room where bikes and the like can be stored (and charged), your hiking boots can be cleaned and the BBQ is kept. You may use this BBQ in the sun meadow available to you and where you can enjoy the (setting) sun.
Nature and surroundings
Our yard is adjacent to the Green Jonker, a birding area owned by Natuurmonumenten and a paradise for birdwatchers. You can take lovely walks there, or just enjoy nature on a bench. A few hundred meters away is the river De Kromme Mijdrecht, which lives up to its name: the picturesque branch of the Amstel meanders beautifully through the polder landscape. Two kilometers away are the Nieuwkoop lakes. There you can cycle and walk, including along the Meiepad. There are also (electric and sailing) boats for rent. Along the lakes you will find some fine restaurants. The Vinkeveense Plassen are about 10 kilometers away, with its hiking areas such as Botshol. Nieuwkoop, Mijdrecht and Uithoorn are all 6 to 10 kilometers away. There you can enjoy fine shopping and good food. Amsterdam, Utrecht and Leiden can all be reached within half an hour. There you will find the superlative in terms of shopping, restaurants, culture and history.
