The large park-like garden of the old parsonage offers comfortable accommodations for up to 4 people, whether as a B&B or for a vacation. “De Kansel” features 2 luxurious and comfortable double beds (160x200) that provide all guests with a cozy place to sleep. From the relaxing lounge area, you can enjoy a view of the small private forest, where you might occasionally catch a glimpse of the local wildlife. In the cozy sitting area next to the pantry, you can enjoy a fresh cup of coffee, tea, or a drink. When the weather is nice, you can relax in a lovely south-facing seating area or under the shared canopy of the Drenthe work shed. De Kansel offers a wonderfully heated bathroom with everything you need. Practical information: - Infrared floor heating in the living area - Hot water from an 80-liter water heater. (empty = 2-hour heating time) - Wi-Fi available in and around the accommodation - Smart TV provided - No cooking facilities - Shared covered bike shed with charging stations
Nature and surroundings
In mid-2024, we were able to make our dream come true. We moved into the old parsonage in Nieuw-Dordrecht. Our family consists of six people, and for several decades now, children’s voices have once again filled this beautiful place. Our family and our little animals—including a cat, pigeons, rabbits, chickens, and a proud rooster—make full use of the entire garden. To share our dream, we started this nature house. We see the guesthouse as a wonderful addition to our daily lives and our family. We’ll be proud to welcome you and hope to offer you a pleasant stay. The fridge is stocked, and a delicious snack will be waiting for you! You can unpack your suitcase, and the fun can begin. During your stay, you can enjoy breakfast, shared meals, or a selection of snacks. Many options are available upon request.

Free cancellation within 7 days of your booking confirmation, provided the booking request was made more than 28 days before the start date. For bookings starting within 28 days, free cancellation applies within 24 hours. If you cancel within the specified period, you are entitled to a full refund of the booking amount.
After that, you will receive a partial refund of the trip cost and a 100% refund of the deposit:
• Up to 42 days before arrival: 70% refund
• 42–28 days before arrival: 40% refund
• 28 days through the day of arrival: 10% refund
• On the day of arrival or later: no refund
- Out of respect for nature: silence between 11:00 PM and 8:00 AM.
- Minimum age of main booker: 18 years.
- Smoking is not allowed in this nature house.
- No fireworks are allowed at this Nature House.
- No parties or events are allowed.
- This nature house is not suitable for groups of young people, students and sports teams.
