We only hiked. This can also be done from the cottage. Across the Lutterzand if you turn left just past house no. 8 or if you walk to the bridge over the diversion canal, turn left there, a little further left again. That is also a nice walk. This road leads back to the Beverborgsweg.

Wij hebben alleen gewandeld. Dat kan ook vanaf het huisje. Over het Lutterzand als je net voorbij huis nr. 8 links afslaat of als je naar de brug over het omleidinskanaal loopt, daar linksaf slaat, even verder weer linksaf. Dat is ook een mooie wandeling.
Deze weg komt weer uit op de Beverborgsweg.

The cottage the Kingfisher is a beautiful cottage, stands on property with lots of privacy in a wooded area. It has recently been refurbished with new floors, beds and blackout curtains. You can sit on the terrace, where you then sit on the banks of the Dinkel, where there are many birds, which you can identify with e.g. the Merlin bird id. Some of them come by, if you offer some food in the birdhouse, but that's also where the squirrels come in. You can also see these through the windows, when the jump up against the door or climb up next to a window. Furthermore, you are in a beautiful area with moraines formed during the ice age. You are also close to Germany, so it takes a good fifteen minutes to drive to Nordhorn. Through Denekamp, you don't see traffic jams with border controls. On the A1 you do.Small disadvantage, if it rains very hard, the roof gives some noise. We had some bad luck with the weather this year.

Het huisje de Ijsvogel is een prachtig huisje, staat op een terrein met veel privacy in een bosrijke omgeving. Het is recent opgeknapt met nieuwe vloeren, bedden en verduisteringsgordijnen. Je kunt op het terras zitten, waar je dan aan de oever van de Dinkel zit.
Er komen veel vogels voor, die je met bv. de Merlin bird id kunt identificeren. Een aantal komen langs, als je wat voer aanbiedt in het vogelhuisje.
Maar daar komen ook de eekhoorns op af. Deze zie je ook door de ramen kijken, als de tegen de deur op springen of naast een raam omhoog klimmen.
Verder zit je in een mooie omgeving met stuwwallen die in de ijstijd gevormd zijn. Dat geeft een mooi glooiend landschap.
Je zit ook dicht tegen Duitsland aan, waardoor je in een ruim kwartiertje naar Nordhorn rijdt. Via Denekamp zie je geen files met grenscontroles. Op de A1 wel.
Klein nadeel, als het heel hard regent, geeft het dak wat geluidsoverlast. Wij hadden dit jaar wat pech met het weer.

Lovely cottage at the end of a country road where the horses are waiting for you. Very newly decorated cottage, lots of space and two nice bedrooms where you wake up to the 1000s of birds in the forest. Lots to do in the area, accessible by bike or a short drive by car. Ask the host for tips, she will reward you richly. Thanks for that! We would love to come again.

Heerlijk huisje aan het einde van een landweggetje waar de paardjes je op staan te wachten. Zeer nieuw ingericht huisje, veel ruimte en twee fijne slaapkamers waar je heerlijk wakker wordt van de 1000en vogels in het bos.
Veel te doen in de omgeving, met de fiets bereikbaar of een korte rit met de auto. Vraag de host naar tips, ze zal je rijkelijk belonen. Dank nog daarvoor! Wij komen graag nog eens.

A 10 seems excessive, but we experienced this week that way. Everything was thought about and well organized. Highly recommended!

Een 10 lijkt overdreven, maar wij hebben deze week zo ervaren. Overal Is over nagedacht en goed geregeld. Een absolute aanrader!

Een huisje verscholen tussen de bomen aan de Dinkel, met alles erop en eraan, wat kan ik er meer over zeggen dan: perfect!
