Close to the village of Oosterend on the island of Texel is our vacation home on its own property. The simple house is suitable for up to 4 persons and has a bedroom on the ground floor with a double bed and a sink. Upstairs there is a spacious bedroom with 2 single beds. With private entrance you enter the large utility room with washing machine. The kitchen is equipped with refrigerator with freezer drawer, induction hob, and filter coffee maker (Senseo is also available) Through the large window you can see the sun rise in the morning and at night a sky full of stars. The room is equipped with cozy sitting area and separate dining area for 4 people. Television (smart and with Canal Digital) and radio are available. There is a crib and chair. The accommodation has 2 private parking spaces and space to store bicycles. Wifi is free and garden set available.
Nature and surroundings
The eastern part of forms a perfect base for those who love nature and silence. Already within ten minutes you reach the dike, where you look out over the vast Wadden Sea. In the immediate vicinity you can take endless walks and cycle through the characteristic landscape. Also charming villages such as Oosterend and De Waal are nearby and are definitely worth a visit. Beach, sea and various nature reserves are also a short distance away, so you can enjoy plenty of peace and quiet here. For families with children there is plenty to do on Texel, from Ecomare to the Sheep Farm and from harbor to lighthouse. Something for everyone.

Clean and neat cottage with windows on 3 sides so lots of light in the house. An easy walk in shower. The bedroom was small with a small sink and we did miss a screen for the window. Not so important now but for hot summer weather. However upstairs a spacious attic where 2 people can also sleep.The kitchen is cozy with a large window overlooking the polder. Everything was neatly equipped with kitchen utensils. In the pantry a space where you could dry your laundry and where the washing machine and microwave stood Our bikes could well be inside. The village of Oosterend 1 km walk from the cottage. A cute village with some nice walks nearby and the bird utopia nearby. In short a nice place to return to. Schoon en net huisje met aan 3 kanten ramen dus veel licht in huis. Een makkelijke inloopdouche. De slaapkamer was klein met een klein wastafeltje en we misten wel een horretje voor het raam. Nu nog niet zo van belang maar voor warme zomerweer wel. Echter boven een ruime zolder waar ook 2 personen kunnen slapen.De keuken is gezellig met een groot raam met zicht op de polder. Alles was keurig voorzien van keukenspulletjes. In de bijkeuken een ruimte waar je je was kon drogen en waar de wasmachine en magnetron stonden Onze fietsen konden goed binnen staan. Het dorpje Oosterend op 1 km lopen van het huisje. Een schattig dorpje met een aantal leuke wandelingen in de buurt en het vogel utopia in de buurt. Kortom een mooie plek om nog eens naar terug te keren.

Wij hebben het als een heel fijn huisje ervaren. Het was een klein maar schoon en goed voorzien huisje.We keken over de polder uit en hadden buiten een heerlijk hoekje om in de zon te zitten.
