Our chalets can accommodate 6 people for a wonderful cabin vacation. Look forward to a cozy living room on the first floor with wood-burning stove and spacious dining area as well as a sunny terrace with charcoal grill. The kitchen is fully equipped and invites you to cook and enjoy. Upstairs you sleep in two comfortable bedrooms for up to 3 people with a double bed plus a single bed or sofa bed. For your sauna pleasure you will find a sauna in the chalet and of course you also have WLAN and TV available here.
Nature and surroundings
All is still right with the world here! The Turracher Höhe presents itself as a natural alpine pasture and lake plateau at almost 1,800 m above sea level. On the border between Styria and Carinthia, you can enjoy a gentle and impressive mountain landscape while hiking, biking or skiing. Unspoilt alpine meadows, clear mountain lakes and the mighty Swiss stone pines of Austria's largest contiguous Swiss stone pine forest area characterize the landscape. The Swiss stone pine, this robust and unique coniferous tree with its very special characteristics, grows especially in this altitude zone. The resinous and pleasantly tart-smelling Swiss stone pine wood is said to have a calming effect on the vegetative nervous system and is often used as a Swiss stone pine bed, piece of furniture, decorative object or as a Swiss stone pine cushion. The precious, delicate purple pine cones are a feast for the eyes and form the basis for the popular Swiss stone pine schnapps, a regional specialty.
