Welcome to this Nature House, a place where you may pause and recharge. In our monumental farmhouse in the green hamlet of Snijders-Chaam you can relax in the atmospheric rooms or outside in the large garden. Enjoy vegetables and fruit from the garden, a nice wine from Chaam, the Moselle or Piemonte, or just in the silence of the surroundings. Our long-gabled farmhouse from 1891 is within walking distance of the Valkenberg estate and the Chaam woods. The B&B is situated in the completely sustainably restored calf stable (approx. 50m2). A spacious living room with dining table, sitting area and small pantry (for coffee, tea and warming up a small snack). Then the bedroom with Auping box spring bed (210 cm), luxury bathroom with toilet, large sink and walk-in shower. View over the fields towards the forest and patio doors to the private terrace. A private garden with terrace on the south with edible flowers, an apple tree, fig tree, berry bushes, tea and herb plants.
Nature and surroundings
The large garden of nearly an acre includes a pool, a sizable vegetable garden and a food forest. Also a second-hand greenhouse entertained from an industrial greenhouse. All according to the principles of permaculture. The fruit and vegetables from the garden can be found in your B&B breakfast box. From La Sosta you can walk to the Valkenberg estate, which in turn is connected to the Hondsdonk and Lugtenburg estates. Followed by the Chaamse beekdal and the Chaamse bossen that stretch for miles past Alphen. Bicycles (also mbt) can be rented in Chaam.A little further from home you will find beautiful hiking trails such as the Strijbeekse heath, the smugglers' route, the Merkske, the Pannenhoef, Moerse bossen and just across the border the Carrot Colony.In the evening enjoy eating out in Breda, Tilburg and Antwerp (20-45 minutes by car). Tilburg is the city of small high-quality museums such as De Pont and the Textile museum, and do not forget Antwerp with the Museum of Fine Arts.
