Behind the seven mountains... at the edge of the forest, our newly renovated cottage is located directly at the nature reserve "Siebengebirge". On the lower level of the cottage there is an open living area with living room, dining room and kitchen. Upstairs is the large bedroom with a double bed and the small bedroom with a double bed/two single beds and a bathroom with bath and shower. From the large window in the bedroom you have an impressive view of the forest and nature. In front of the cottage there is a wooden terrace and a small garden. There are large trees behind the house that provide shade on hot summer days, and the wooden terrace in front of the house (south/west facing) is perfect for sun worshippers. In the winter months there is a warming wood-burning stove and underfloor heating throughout the house. It is possible to park your car directly in front of the entrance. The road in front of the house is only permitted for agricultural vehicles
Nature and surroundings
You can start your hikes from the vacation cottage, but you can also take the bus for part of the way (bus stop 10 minutes away). The Siebengebirge with its numerous places to stop for refreshments also offers many sights such as old decaying castles, a railroad to Drachenfels and much more. From the mountain peaks (Löwenburg, Oelberg, Petersberg and Drachenfels) you have a fantastic view of the beautiful Rhine Valley and the Eifel. Should the weather not play along, you can be in Bad Honnef or Königswinter on the Rhine in about 10 minutes by car/bus. The nearest supermarket and fresh bread rolls are just a 10-minute walk away. Several restaurants are also within walking distance. The cities of Bonn (25 min.) and Cologne (45 min.) are easy to reach by car. We are happy to give you tips for excursions and hikes.
