Sleep under the stars in a completely transparent bubble tent, nestled in the heart of a private forest in the Beemster. No walls, no ceiling. Just you, the trees, and an endless starry sky. The tent is luxuriously furnished with a king-size bed, a fully equipped kitchen, and a private bathroom with a hot shower under a glass roof. In the winter, you’ll stay warm thanks to radiator panels and electric blankets. In the summer, the shade of the trees keeps it pleasantly cool. Outside, you heat your own wood-fired hot tub. From the warm water, you gaze up at the stars while the forest around you is silent. During the day, you can relax in the hammocks, use the telescope, or play table tennis. There is no Wi-Fi. The Beemster is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is one of the oldest reclaimed areas in the Netherlands, featuring a geometric polder landscape found nowhere else. Pastures stretching to the horizon, historic farms, fields of flowers in the spring, and a silence you can almost hear. From the bubble tent, you can cycle or walk straight into the polder landscape. With electric bikes (available for rent), you can explore the area at your own pace, passing cheese farms, dikes, and narrow waterways. Just a 1-minute walk away is Fort Resort Beemster: a former fort converted into a wellness resort with a restaurant and spa. There’s also a golf course and clay pigeon shooting. The area features several restaurants serving local Beemster products. Despite the feeling of total seclusion, you’re just 7 minutes from Purmerend and 20 minutes from the center of Amsterdam. A bus stop is a 5-minute walk away. The best of both worlds: completely surrounded by nature, yet never far from the city.
