Nature house in Stekene

A charming little cottage with its own (play) forest within the fenced-in property, ideal for families with dogs and/or children. It’s home to many birds and insects. The cottage is equipped with most modern conveniences and is a lovely place to stay. Even when it rains, you can still enjoy the outdoors under the covered deck, which features a cozy lounge area and a beautiful view.

The owners are easy to communicate with and ensure a pleasant arrival (without physical contact). They’ve refurbished or replaced the most important items while preserving the cottage’s original character by avoiding unnecessary replacements made solely for aesthetic reasons.

Een schattig huisje met een eigen (speel) bos binnen omheining, ideaal met een hond en/of kindjes. Thuis voor vele vogels en insecten. Het huisje is van de meeste gemakken voorzien en een fijne plek om te zijn. Bij regen kan je het buiten leven alsnog voortzetten onder de overkapping met fijne lounge en mooi uitzicht.

Eigenaren zijn fijn in contact en zorgen voor een prettige aankomst (zonder fysiek contact). Zij hebben de belangrijkste dingen opgeknapt of vernieuwd en het oude karakter van het huisje behouden door gee onnodige vervangingen te doen enkel voor de looks.

A lovely setting near a quiet area. Several hiking trails are available starting from the cottage. It’s not too remote, so in addition to the sounds of the forest, during the day you’ll also hear the activity of the farmers, neighbors, and the “Edelweiss” tune from ice cream trucks. After 10:00 p.m., it’s quiet.

Leuke omgeving bij een stilte gebied. Meerdere wandelroutes beschikbaar vanuit het huisje. Is niet ver afgelegen dus naast bosgeluiden hoor je overdag ook bedrijvigheid van de boeren, omwonende en het edelweiss deuntje van ijswagens. Na 22.00 is het stil.

We had a wonderful midweek getaway. The weather was certainly great, but even if it hadn't been quite as nice, it's a peaceful setting where you can relax. We had a lovely, enjoyable vacation.

We hebben een mooie midweek gehad. Zeker het weer was heel goed, maar ook als dat wat minder zou zijn is het een stille omgeving waar je tot rust kan komen. Mooie aangename vakantie gehad.

We had a pleasant stay at 't Stekske. It has everything you need. It’s a nice little cottage, perfect for families with young children. It’s located in a secluded part of the woods. The woods keep the house nice and cool.

Aangenaam verblijf in het 't Stekske. Alles is aanwezig. Leuk huisje ook voor gezinnen met jonge kinderen. Op een afgesloten stuk bos. Lekker koel in huis door het bos.

We'll definitely be back—this time with the grandkids—to visit Puyenbroeck, among other places.

Komen zeker terug dan met de kleinkinderen voor onderandere Puyenbroeck

Great place. Very peaceful, and aside from fresh water, everything you need is provided—and you can easily buy water outside, in addition to the bottles for your first cup of coffee that are already waiting for you. Every evening, there’s a cozy campfire, and during the day, you can enjoy biking and hiking to Antwerp, Ghent, and beyond.

Geweldige plek. Heel rustig en buiten vers water is alles aanwezig en water is zo gekocht buiten de flessen voor de eerste koffie die al klaar staan .Elke avond een lekker kampvuurtje en overdag lekker fietsen en wandelen naar Antwerpen Gent en verder.
