Nature house in Stoutenburg

An outbuilding of our farmhouse near Amersfoort has been converted into a 98 m2 nature house. In terms of atmosphere it is a loft, but just outside the city in nature. It offers tranquility and place for retreat. With character beam construction, natural materials, soothing colors and beautiful natural light, it is a wonderful space. And there is room for yoga left. The living room and 4 sleeping spaces are in one large loft space; though separated for privacy. The dining table is a wonderful place to work remote. The kitchen has new appliances: oven, dishwasher, induction cooktop and Nespresso machine. Extensive cooking is well possible. There is also a shower room, washing machine room, separate toilet and charging points for electric bikes and an electric car. Feel welcome, this is not a place for smokers, pets or to have a party. Cleaning can be done yourself or left to us after cleaning up for 60 euros. Bicycles are available for free.

The cottage is part of a large yard with a wide garden with beautiful (picking) trees. The corresponding part of the garden, bordered with hedges, offers a view of the nature reserve the Schammerplas. Here it feels like staying on an estate. Close to the historic city of Amersfoort, this is a nice place in a beautiful park landscape. Outside you can encounter pheasants, rabbits, hares and all kinds of birds. In our yard we sometimes see a roe deer and traces of a badger and marten. When the weather is nice and quiet, hot air balloons often fly over.Stoutenburg is a small village near Leusden and not far from Amsterdam. More farms can be found in the surrounding romantic park landscape. The wide area with estates, moors and forests is known for its beautiful cycling and hiking opportunities. Nearby is a bicycle junction and a clog path. The municipality of Leusden calls itself Wandelgemeente, where in the Gelderse Vallei and Utrechtse Heuvelrug with all its nature there is plenty to discover.
