This nature house before we restored it was an old stable for cows and sheep. "Strâmbă" means crooked, so everything about this house is crooked. Because it was never conceived as a residential house, it was built about 60 years ago from completely reused materials. The house is now a kind of tiny house. The bedroom is in the open attic and has a double bed. From the bedroom you have a nice view of the grounds through the large windows. The ground floor is a kitchen/living room combination, with a sofa bed. The bathroom with a walk-in shower is also on the ground floor. The kitchen is equipped with a stove, dishwasher, small refrigerator, pots and pans, cutlery, all the necessities for preparing meals. This house has a small private front yard and a private jacuzzi. It is located on a shared property with 1 more vacation home and 4 glamping tents.
Nature and surroundings
The casa is located in northwestern Romania close to the Hungarian border. The entire area of over 8 Hectares and its surroundings are under Natura2000. Nearby you will find a number of spectacular caves including, Pestera Vadu Crisului, Hunguru Mare, Moanei and the longest cave in Europe, Pestera Vintului. For those who want to drive a little further (about 70 minutes), there are many more spectacular options.
