Welcome to a newly built chalet in the picturesque hamlet of Mariánská Hora, in the Czech Jizera Mountains. We are a Belgian-Czech couple and also speak Dutch. The apartment is located on the second floor of the chalet and features a fully equipped kitchen, a dining room with a sofa and a bathroom. The two mezzanine bedrooms can comfortably sleep up to eight people: downstairs there is a double bed each, in the sleeping lofts there are two, possibly three beds each. In both sleeping lofts there are also equipped play areas for small children. For safety, the stairs leading to the attics can be fitted with safety gates. Board games are available in the dining room. We are also happy to warm up the aromatic sauna for you. The apartment shares only the common entrance with the living unit on the ground floor. When we are present, we fully respect the privacy of our guests.
Nature and surroundings
The chalet is surrounded by a graceful garden overlooking the forest and surrounding nature. Our guests may use a terrace on the south side, the garden, the barbecue and the fire pit. Nearby is a network of 180 kilometers of hiking and cycling trails, as well as numerous observation towers and waterfalls. The sources of the Elbe River and the impressive rock formations of the Bohemian Paradise are not far either. Our region is also known for the famous Czech glass. You can even see glassblowers at work live. And beautiful Prague is just an hour's drive away.In winter: a five-minute drive away is the largest ski resort in the Jizera Mountains, Tanvaldský Špičák, with two cable cars and five long runs. Within thirty minutes you can reach the ski resorts of the Giant Mountains: Harrachov and Rokytnice. About a fifteen-minute walk from the chalet begins a network of approximately 180 kilometers of well-maintained cross-country ski trails.
