You can book our guesthouse all year. The guesthouse is locatated at our huskyfarm. You find space for Groups up to 6 persons. The guesthouse is fully equipped, with two bedrooms, kitchen, living room and bathroom. During winter season we offer sledding trips, snowmobiling and ice fishing. The summer in Lapland is very short and intensive. During this time you can experience our landscapes on Trekking tours or you can go fishing/canoeing in various lakes and rivers. Picking berries (August – September), white water rafting, canoeing or visiting the samish people and reindeer breeders are just some more examples of our program range during the summer time. Hundreds of clearwater lakes and rivers give you the opportunity to do fishing-trips under the midnight sun.
Nature and surroundings
Here in Lapland, winter lasts from November til May. For over six months the northern tundra forests and lakes are covered by ice and snow: Ideal conditions for adventurous and active winter holidays. During winter season we offer sledding trips, snowmobiling and ice fishing. The summer in Lapland is very short and intensive. During this time you can experience our landscapes on Trekking tours or you can go fishing/canoeing in various lakes and rivers. Merasjärvi is a small village about 200 km north above the arctic circle and about 80 km far away from Kiruna. Politically, it belongs to the city of Kiruna. The next larger village though, where you find a bank, a post office and a food store is Vittangi, at 20 km distance. Merasjärvi is a swedish village, but the borders to Finland and Norway are close and this is why you will hear at least 3 languages spoken by the inhabitants: swedish, finnish and the native samish. The nearest airport and train station are at Kiruna.
