Nature house in Beutenaken

The cottage is wonderfully spacious and comfortable. It is a bit dark, though, and has no view.

Beautiful nature. You can go for lovely walks right from home. It’s also wonderfully peaceful.

At first glance, the vacation home is spacious, cozy, and warmly decorated. But there are still a few points of criticism.
You can lounge or lie down on the couch, but you can’t actually sit on it. Behind and under the couch is a pile of dust that’s built up over the past few months.
The kitchen faucet is rickety, and it’s unclear which is hot and which is cold. The kitchen isn’t exactly clean.
There’s a steep, awkward staircase leading upstairs.
In the bedroom, behind the chair and near the desk, there’s quite a bit of cobwebs, and the closet contains musty blankets and comforters.
In the bathroom, the sink drains are brown with grime, the faucets are loose, and the hot and cold water are reversed (blue is hot and red is cold).
When showering, water flows onto the bathroom floor.
If you’re tall, the toilet is installed so low that you’re practically squatting.
You can’t adjust the heating for the apartment yourself. We had to keep messaging the owner whenever it got too cold.
All in all, a nice little house, but with some flaws, unfortunately.

Het vakantiehuisje is op het eerste gezicht ruim, gezellig en knus ingericht. Maar toch een aantal kritiekpuntjes.
Op de bank kun je hangen of liggen, maar niet zitten. Achter en onder de bank ligt een verzameling stof van de afgelopen maanden.
De kraan in de keuken is gammel en niet duidelijk wat warm en koud is. Keuken is niet echt schoon te noemen.
Een steile onhandige trap naar boven.
In de slaapkamer achter de stoel en bij het bureau nogal wat stofraggen en in de kast liggen onfrisse dekens en dekbedden.
In de badkamer zijn de afvoerputjes van de wastafels bruin van vuil, de kranen zitten los, en warm en koud is omgedraaid (blauw is warm en rood is koud).
Tijdens het douchen loopt het water de badkamer in.
De toilet is, als je lang bent, zo laag geplaatst dat je bijna op je hurken zit.
De verwarming voor het appartement is niet zelf te regelen. Wij moesten de eigenaar steeds berichten als het te koud werd.
Al met al een leuk huisje, maar met gebreken, helaas.
