We were looking for a place to completely unwind, close to nature but with all the luxuries and comforts, and we found it in the dunes of Goeree. As architecture lovers, we finished the house with high-quality materials, a mix of contemporary and vintage Scandinavian design and a white cast floor. The large windows (with exterior blinds) provide a connection to nature in every room. Located in Ouddorp in the Poldersbos, the house is 95m2 and offers all the comforts for both long and short stays. The Poldersbos is a very spacious and quiet park without facilities. The house includes 2 bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen and large living space, 2 bedrooms, bathroom with large walk-in shower. There is central heating but also a wood stove for extra atmosphere. The garden borders protected dune area and through a walking path you can walk onto the quiet beach. The unique Ouddorp lighthouse is 2 km away. The house has a large garden landscaped with local plant species.
Nature and surroundings
Nearby you will find beautiful natural areas such as the Kwade Hoek, Volgerland and the Slikken van Flakkee. A 15-minute drive away you can visit the Tij bird observatory in Stellendam or the A Seal seal sanctuary. For longer stays, we also recommend a day trip to the nature island of Tiengemeten in the Haringvliet. In the winter months you can regularly spot roe deer in the garden, as well as rabbits and the spotted woodpecker. We had a wonderful time. The house is beautiful, clean and quiet. It was very restful. The host also gave us the tip that 20min away there would be a seal release. We had a fantastic afternoon walking to the beach and watching the seals.
