Waking up rested after a wonderful night's sleep is a matter of course here. This nature house is a monumental half-timbered farmhouse that partially serves as the owner's home. The former barn of the monumental farm has been beautifully restored and furnished as an attractive vacation home. The cottage is suitable for 2 to 6 persons and has an open kitchen, bathroom with sink, dishwasher, shower and toilet, a sitting room, wifi, a terrace, a dining area and a crib. Outside you can relax on one of the two terraces or in the meadow among the fruit trees.Upstairs there are two bedrooms. In the first room there are two single beds. The second bedroom has a double bed with TV. These bedrooms overlook the spacious garden and behind it the Vijlerbos. The old wooden beams in this bedroom reveal a piece of history of this characteristic farmstead. This monumental farmstead has been beautifully restored!
Nature and surroundings
Located in the countryside overlooking and near the Vjilenerbos. North of the village in the stream valley is the Selzerbeek, which is fed, among other things, by the Harleserbeek located east of the village. On the other side of the ridge, the Lombergbeek flows in the valley southwest of the village. Due to its high hillside location in the extreme southeast, Vijlen is the place where the first snow of the Dutch season usually falls, and also the most snow per year.
