Nature house in Midsland Noord

Our cottage stands alone on a large playing field with a beautiful view of the countryside and Midsland. It’s a family cottage, built by my grandfather and recently renovated and insulated. It’s a bungalow, so it’s all on the ground floor: a small entryway, a bathroom, and a bedroom with new bunk beds and new mattresses. The dining/living/playroom is L-shaped, nice and spacious and bright. The kitchen is adjacent to the dining area and has been upgraded with a new oven, electric stovetop, and a new dishwasher. The middle bedroom has two single beds, and the master bedroom has a double bed. These also have new mattresses. A distinctive arch in the living area separates the dining room from the living area. There is a lovely small wood stove. The terrace faces south and offers a stunning view. The play area is wonderfully spacious. The neighbors are hidden behind the natural screen of shrubs and trees. Terschelling is all about nature. In the distance, you can see the dike along the Wadden Sea; the dunes begin less than a hundred meters behind the cottage, and right there you’ll also find the “Koreabos,” which features a wonderful play area for children. In front of the cottage, there’s nothing but endless pastureland. Next to and behind it are other vacation cottages, nicely spaced apart with a dense strip of shrubs, trees, and a ditch separating them. Dunes, pastures, forests, the mudflats, and the sea—all within walking distance. Nature reserves such as the Koegelwieck and the Boschplaat are just a few kilometers away by bike. In short: a nature house. Beautiful hiking and biking trails are available. Plenty of variety in the landscape. From south to north: mudflats, dikes, farmland, woods, a vast dune landscape, and then the endless white beach. From west to east: a beautiful green beach with picturesque villages stretching from West via Midsland all the way to Oosterend. And then there’s the vast Boschplaat stretching all the way to the Amelandergat. And we also have a special trail, “the Rouwpad”....
