Unique accommodations in the garden of an old church. The Tiny house is small in size (16 m²), but offers plenty of living space all around! Relax on the patio or in the wooded garden. Drift off into a dreamy state in the hot tub (optional add-on) under the stars and enjoy the silence. Wake up at sunrise to a view of the meadows. (Breakfast can be booked as an optional add-on.) Here, you’ll find complete peace and quiet. Your booking also contributes to the renovation and restoration of this beautiful historic monument. Thank you! (You’ll find construction materials around the church, kept out of sight as much as possible. The Tiny House’s living space faces the forest. There’s no construction noise—we’ll stop work upon your arrival.) The “tiny house movement” is a phenomenon that originated in the U.S. and promotes a simpler way of life with less consumption of space and resources. The Tiny house is on wheels and is permitted on the highway. The tiny house is equipped with solar panels and heating and water systems, allowing it to operate off-grid virtually anywhere.
Nature and surroundings
The Tiny house is located behind our parsonage, right next to our small wooded garden. The property spans 3,520 m² and you can explore different spots along narrow forest paths, where seating areas are waiting for you. Build a fire and fire up the BBQ for the true outdoor experience. Wake up in the morning to the rising sun, and right next to the neighbors’ horses. In the evening, head to the other side for an unobstructed view of the meadows. Our cottage is located in the polder, and there’s plenty to explore in the area: take a loop around Geestmerambacht, visit the beaches at Sint Maartenszee and Petten, or go for beautiful walks along the coast, such as at Zwanenwater near Callantoog or in the Schoorl Dunes.
