A shepherd's hut that has everything. In a beautiful spot on the edge of a farmyard. Silence, comfort, a cozy place near the sea. The wagon has a large balcony and a private garden with a unique wide view over the agricultural countryside of the Zijper polder, with the dunes of Schoorl on the horizon.The wagon is made with attention to sustainability and has a quiet, light interior. A cozy sitting area with a sofa bed that can easily be changed into a lovely double bed (1.40 x 2.00m) with a top mattress. The bathroom consists of a shower and an odorless compost toilet, in keeping with the sustainable approach of this accommodation. The kitchen is compact and complete, with an induction stove, refrigerator and everything you need for independent living. Bed linen and bath and kitchen towels are plentiful. The car is fully insulated and equipped with electric heating
Nature and surroundings
Sint Maartensbrug is a small village in the municipality of Schagen NH, halfway between Alkmaar and Den Helder and about 4 km away from forest, dunes and the North Sea beach. The beach in Sint Maartenszee is a wide and family-friendly Blue Flag beach. There are several beach pavilions and a lifeguard is present. Besides the beautiful coast, Sint Maartensbrug is located in the largest continuous bulb-growing area in the world and is surrounded in the spring by fields full of colors. The hinterland with distinct places like Schagen, Hoorn, Medemblik and Enkhuizen is also worth exploring. The island of Texel is also easily accessible. For nature lovers, this is an ideal vacation spot. The nearby nature reserves 'het Wildrijk' and 'het Zwanenwater', the Schoorl dunes and the Westfriese omringdijk are places for those who like beautiful walks and bike rides.
