After the war, our grandmother had the house restored, and it has been carefully maintained ever since. As a result, it is now a comfortable, simple, and timeless nature house with all the basic amenities of today. Inside, you’ll find a cozy and brightly decorated home with simple yet complete furnishings, allowing you to immediately enjoy the house and its surroundings. The living room features a cozy sitting area and a fireplace, making it a pleasant place to gather after a day outdoors, no matter the season. From the living room, kitchen, and shower, you have an unobstructed view of the beautiful dune landscape. With multiple bedrooms, this nature house is ideal for families who want to enjoy nature, tranquility, and the beauty of Terschelling.

This nature house is truly nestled in the middle of the dunes, with unobstructed views of the dunes. The beach is about a 200-meter walk away. From the house, you can stroll right onto the trails through the dunes. Birdwatchers will be in heaven here, spotting birds of prey and other species as they fly by. It’s the ideal base for beach walks, bike rides across the island, and long hikes through nature. In the summer, you can walk barefoot directly from the cottage to the beach for a delightful swim. The area has actually been designated a “dark sky area.” There is very little artificial lighting in the vicinity, and this results in spectacular starry skies at night when the sky is clear.
