Welcome to this nature house. The ultimate place to completely unwind. This spacious (75m2), single-story cottage has four bedrooms, two of which are especially suitable for children, and is fully equipped. All around is a beautiful, enclosed garden (1100 m2) with pond, where you look out on sheep and the vast Doldersummerveld. The cottage is located on a small and quiet park, ideal for families, families or couples who want to enjoy nature and comfort. The garden feels like a living aviary of birds, and from the bench you can see squirrels jumping from tree to tree. There are several seating areas in both sun and shade, and in the evening you can light the fire inside or outside for a cozy atmosphere. There is also central heating and partial floor heating, making the house comfortable in winter. The kitchen is also fully equipped. Furthermore, there is a closet with toys and games, desk, wifi and a small library with (children's) books about the area.
Nature and surroundings
A unique aspect of this nature house is the view of the sheepfold and the information center of the nature reserve. Every day the shepherd, together with his dogs and the flock of sheep, goes out into the heathland - a beautiful sight! From the house starts a network of numerous hiking and cycling routes through the Drents-Friese Wold, one of the largest and most beautiful nature reserves in the Netherlands. Two bicycles (one with a child seat) are at your disposal, so you can immediately go exploring. You can also rent e-bikes and mountain bikes for the adventurous routes in the area. Besides nature, there is plenty of culture and history to experience. A short distance away is the museum De Proefkolonie, where you will learn all about the Colonies of Weldadigheid - a special chapter in Dutch history. In the vicinity you will also find dolmens, medieval villages and plenty of fun activities for children, such as swimming pools, recreational lake, climbing forest and various play and amusement parks.
