Welcome to our brand new two-person cottage, located on the edge of National Park Dwingelderveld. Here nature literally begins at your front door. From the cottage you walk or cycle straight into the vast heathland, with its fens, forest edges and silence you will find nowhere else. The cottage is cozy and tastefully decorated with natural materials. Inside you will find a bright living room overlooking the greenery, a fully equipped kitchen, a nice dining area and a comfortable double bed. On the terrace you can enjoy the peace and quiet, birds singing and the sun setting over the heathland. At night, all you hear is the rustling of the wind through the trees - and maybe an owl in the distance. Whether you come for walking, cycling or just to catch your breath: this place is made for relaxing.
Nature and surroundings
The surroundings of Dwingeloo are a true paradise for nature lovers. From the cottage you step straight into nature, with National Park Dwingelderveld - Europe's largest continuous wet heathland area - literally in your backyard. Cyclists and hikers can enjoy countless routes that take you through forests, along peat lakes and over sandy paths. Within walking distance you will even find the impressive radio telescope of Dwingeloo, a special landmark in the middle of the landscape. From there you can continue your journey across the heathland, through quiet forests and past small fens, where you might just encounter a flock of sheep along the way. Moreover, Dwingeloo lies between two national parks: the Dwingelderveld and the Drents-Friese Wold. About one kilometer away is the beautiful village "Dwingeloo" with all facilities such as a supermarket, department store, gift stores and cozy restaurants.
