This Nature House stands for a special overnight stay in a monumental farm from 1786, combining authenticity and contemporary comfort. Here you literally sleep among the stories of the past and the original details remind you of the farm life of yesteryear. Sleeping in this Nature House is not only spending the night, but is a true experience for young and old. After all, here you can sleep in an original box bed. The interior feels like a small museum: everywhere you will find antique furniture, utensils and art, which together tell the story of 250 years of Drenthe's history. In the kitchen you will experience the charm of days gone by through the old tiles, authentic furniture and carefully preserved details from the past. At the large dining table you can all enjoy a full breakfast, a good conversation or a cozy dinner. Attention: max 10 adults or 6 adults and 7 children (2 130 x 180, 1 120 x 175).
Nature and surroundings
It is located in characteristic Ruinerwold, a village with stately farmhouses and a rich history. From the farm you step directly into the Drenthe countryside, ideal for cycling and hiking. Within fifteen minutes you are in beautiful natural areas such as the Dwingelderveld, the Weerribben, the Holtingerveld and the Drents-Friese Wold. There is much to experience in the area: Giethoorn: discover the "Venice of the North" by boat. Meppel, Zwolle and Steenwijk: cozy towns with stores and restaurants. Dolmens, museums, local markets and traditional farms. Cycling and walking routes right from the front door. The Drentse Cow, where children can enjoy themselves in the indoor and outdoor playground. After a day full of impressions, you return to the peace and quiet, a place where you can enjoy the outdoors in a very spacious garden overlooking the meadows and the tranquility of the countryside and where you can completely relax, unwind and enjoy.
