This nature house offers a unique overnight stay in a historic farmhouse dating back to 1786, combining authenticity with modern comfort. Here, you’ll literally sleep surrounded by stories from the past, and the original details serve as a reminder of farm life of yesteryear. Staying in this nature house is more than just an overnight stay—it’s a true experience for young and old alike. Here, you can sleep in an original box bed. The interior feels like a small museum: everywhere you look, you’ll find antique furniture and artifacts from Drenthe’s history. In the kitchen, you’ll experience the charm of bygone days through the old tiles, authentic furniture, and carefully preserved details from the past. At the large dining table, you can all enjoy a hearty breakfast, a good conversation, or a cozy dinner together. Our wellness area features a jacuzzi with a sauna and shower, and costs €99 per day. Please note: maximum of 10 adults or 6 adults and 7 children due to the box beds (2 at 130 x 180, 1 at 120 x 175)

There’s plenty to do in the area: Giethoorn: explore the “Venice of the North” by boat. Meppel, Zwolle, and Steenwijk: charming towns with shops and restaurants. Hunebeds, museums, local markets, and artisanal farms. Biking and hiking trails start right at your doorstep. The Drentse Koe, where children can play to their heart’s content in the indoor and outdoor playgrounds. After a day full of new experiences, you’ll return to tranquility—a place where you can enjoy the outdoors in a spacious garden with views of the meadows and the peace of the countryside, and where you can completely unwind, slow down, and relax.
