This nature house offers a unique overnight stay in a historic farmhouse dating back to 1786, combining authenticity with modern comfort. Here, you’ll literally sleep amidst stories from the past, and the original details serve as a reminder of farm life of yesteryear. Staying in this nature house is more than just a place to spend the night—it’s a true experience for young and old alike. Here, you can sleep in an original box bed. The interior feels like a small museum: everywhere you look, you’ll find antique furniture and artifacts from Drenthe’s history. In the kitchen, you’ll experience the charm of bygone days through the old tiles, authentic furniture, and carefully preserved details from the past. At the large dining table, you can all enjoy a hearty breakfast, a good conversation, or a cozy dinner together. Our wellness area features a jacuzzi with a sauna and shower, and costs €99 per day. Please note: maximum of 10 adults or 6 adults and 7 children due to the box beds (2 measuring 130 x 180, 1 measuring 120 x 175)

There’s plenty to do in the area: Giethoorn: explore the “Venice of the North” by boat. Meppel, Zwolle, and Steenwijk: charming towns with shops and restaurants. Hunebeds, museums, local markets, and artisanal farms. Biking and hiking trails start right at your front door. De Drentse Koe, where children can play to their hearts’ content in the indoor and outdoor playgrounds. After a day full of new experiences, you’ll return to peace and quiet—a place where you can enjoy the outdoors in a spacious garden with views of the meadows and the tranquility of the countryside, and where you can completely unwind, slow down, and relax.
