In the countryside of Ommen is in the middle of the forest, on a lake our lovely vacation home. We like to live there ourselves but sometimes we have to be in Amsterdam for work and we like to rent it to people who are looking for the silence and enjoy being in the middle of nature. Our yard of 1200 m2 is located in the middle of the forest on a lake. It has the shelter of a small park combined with maximum privacy. From the cottage you see only forest and a lake. In consultation, our outdoor sauna is at your disposal. You can take a dip in the lake in summer and winter and we have an outdoor shower.A thrill to watch robins and wagtails flying from birch tree to an adjacent oak tree under the warm jet. We also regularly see squirrels jumping from tree to tree. Indeed, the plot is surrounded by large oaks. For children, there is a large trampoline and a game closet. For adults playing with fire, a wood stove.
Nature and surroundings
You can make beautiful walks anywhere in the immediate vicinity from the cottage. From a trip along the Overijsselse Vecht to a walk through the adjacent forest to a swimming lake fifteen minutes away. For the real walkers: The house is located in the Vechtdal between several nature reserves. The Sahara of Ommen. The Lemelerberg. Estate the Laer, Junnerveen. And the most beautiful stages of the Pieterpad are accessible from here; From Ommen to Hardenberg or Hellendoorn to Ommen. The Vechtdal is known for the variety of shifting sands, heaths, fens, forests and the river landscape of Overijsselse Vecht. So surrounded by nature and yet very well served by public transport! By train to Ommen and there an ov bike hire? Quarter of an hour cycling and you are on the spot. A train station further and you are in Dalfsen and there you can take the bus that drops you off at the entrance of the park in 12 minutes. In Ommen are nice restaurants in all price ranges.
