Among the meadows and frogs fifteen minutes from Amsterdam lies this nature house. The nature house of about 40m2 is a detached cottage with independent access, located in the garden of a monumental Broeker house on the lake in the middle of the village - the Havenrak. Right next to the nature house runs a ditch, where the frogs croak and occasionally a duck or swan floats by. There is a large covered porch with comfortable chairs and a wood stove. You certainly won't feel watched while sitting comfortably on the porch: the distance from the main house provides plenty of privacy by itself, and the movable flower boxes on the porch do the rest. For the children: there is a large trampoline in the garden, you can play soccer or couple's dunks on the lawn. This Nature House is quietly and comfortably furnished. There is a spacious corner sofa, a dining table for four, a TV, a small but nice bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator (including freezer).
Nature and surroundings
Broek in Waterland is a picturesque small village with wooden houses, situated by the water and among the meadows. It is an oasis of peace that is perfectly accessible from Amsterdam: a bus leaves every few minutes and takes you to metro stop Amsterdam-Noord in 7 minutes, or to Amsterdam-Centraal in 15 minutes. There is a pancake house and good food at the Broekerhuis and De Drie Noten, but you don't have to go there for the discos. However, it is an excellent base for walks and for cycling trips to the nearby places Zuiderwoude, Durgerdam, Monnickendam, Edam, Volendam, Marken or - for the more fanatical cyclists - Hoorn, Enkhuizen or even a round of the IJsselmeer. Boating is also possible: from the water Broek in Waterland and the surrounding landscape is if possible even more beautiful than from the shore. In the village is a canoe and whisper boat rental. You can moor more or less at the door of the nature house.

None.
Geen.
A nice neat house in quiet and beautiful surroundings. Nice friendly owners and also a few good tips from them received. By bus you are within fifteen minutes at central station in Amsterdam, which we found very nice. Nice villages in the vicinity, especially the town of Hoorn is worth.
This text is automatically translated. -

A very complete cottage, comfortable and warm, equipped with a nice couch in front of the tube (with only 4 channels) and a pickup with old LPs to our taste, including Golden Earring so close to their farewell concert fell well! Some fumbling to get Wifi arranged, but it worked well. The (mobile!) kitchenette is very complete. Tea and coffee up for grabs, pepper and salt for cooking too. At the solid bed, it is bending down under the sloping roof, but it is mouse quiet, nothing disturbed our sleep. In the room are all kinds of games and books worth reading, including about the rich history of Broek in Waterland and its surroundings. A fine nature house!
The drive through picturesque Broek in Waterland to Villa Kakelhof on a narrow cul-de-sac is already a treat, the cottage in the back of the yard was easily accessible in Pieter and Wilma's absence, and the cottage is cozy, warm and comfortably furnished. A bottle of homemade apple juice and a sweet card made us feel immediately welcome and a little later it was our new home base for trips in the area. We especially enjoyed a drive to Edam, Marken and Monnickendam. Ideal is the public transport connection to Amsterdam, by foot, bus and metro were at Dam Square in half an hour for a few euros. Pieter and Wilma are very nice thoughtful people, with whom communication via app was extremely pleasant. We would love to plan another stay at Villa Kakelhof!
