Nature house in Ambt Delden

A very neat, well-maintained cottage with kind and accommodating owners.
Listed as wheelchair-accessible. As an ambulatory wheelchair user, I found it manageable (manual wheelchair / e-Move wheels). There’s a small threshold at the entrance that you can easily clear on your own with a wheelie. There’s enough space in the living room, kitchen, hallway, bathroom, and (double bed) bedroom to navigate with a wheelchair. The doors are standard width; I fit through them just barely, but a larger electric wheelchair might not be able to get through.
There is no shower stool; bring your own if needed. If you’re not using the staff service, you can ask in advance to have the dishes from the top kitchen cabinets moved down, but otherwise you can reach everything from your chair—the combination microwave might be a bit high to reach if you have a low-profile chair.

Zeer net, goed onderhouden huisje en fijne meedenkende eigenaars.
Staat als rolstoelgeschikt aangegeven. Voor mij als ambulant rolstoelgebruiker goed te doen (handbewogen rolstoel / e-Move wielen). Er is een klein drempeltje bij de entree die je met een wheelie makkelijk zelf kan nemen. Genoeg ruimte in woonkamer, keuken, gang, badkamer en (2p-bed-)slaapkamer om met de rolstoel te komen. De deuren zijn normale breedte, ik paste er precies doorheen, een grotere elektrische rolstoel zou er wellicht niet door kunnen.
Er is geen douchekruk, die zo nodig zelf meenemen, bij geen stafunctie kan je vooraf even vragen om het servies uit de bovenste keukenkastjes omlaag te laten zetten, maar verder kan je overal vanuit de stoel bij - combimagnetron misschien wat hoog reiken als je een lage stoel hebt.

Quiet location; at night, you can hear the tawny owl near the cottage. Since it’s located at the back of the owners’ property, the cottage isn’t even visible from the road—you’re truly in your own private garden with an unobstructed view.

Rustige ligging, ‘‘s nachts hoor je de bosuil rond het huisje. Doordat het achterop het terrein van de eigenaars ligt is het huisje vanaf de weg niet eens zichtbaar, je zit echt in je eigen stuk tuin met vrij uitzicht.

We spent a couple of nice days in Ambt Delden. The cottage is fully equipped and has a spacious garden with covered seating. From the cottage you can walk straight into the woods. Many opportunities for walking and cycling. The village of Bentelo is within walking distance and has a cozy restaurant and a small daily store. We enjoyed the cottage and the environment!

We hebben een paar leuke dagen doorgebracht in Ambt Delden. Het huisje is van alle gemakken voorzien en heeft een ruime tuin met overdekt zitje. Vanuit het huisje loop je zo het bos in. Veel mogelijkheden om te wandelen en te fietsen. Het dorpje Bentelo is aan te lopen en heeft een gezellig restaurant en een kleine dagwinkel. We hebben genoten van het huisje en de omgeving !
