Nature house in Zuidwolde

I spent a weekend away from home without my husband and kids. I treated myself to this beautiful spot and cozy cottage. I had a wonderful stay. The cottage is small but cozy, and the owners are friendly—I got along well with them.

There’s a restaurant at the park, but unfortunately it wasn’t open this weekend because of a private party. Otherwise, I would have enjoyed a nice bite to eat there.

There are plenty of places to eat nearby. The guide I received from Natalie, the owner, lists all the things to do in the area.

The cottage was ideal for me. It’s decorated very cozily. There’s coffee and tea, a wonderful shower, a comfortable bed, and a beautiful garden where you can hear the birds singing. I wasn’t bothered by the highway at all. It was very peaceful—exactly what I needed.

I definitely recommend this cottage.

Ik was een weekendje van huis zonder man en kinderen. Mijzelf getrakteerd op dit prachtige plekje en fijne huisje. Ik heb een heel fijn verblijf gehad. Het huisje is klein maar fijn en heeft vriendelijke eigenaren waar ik goed contact mee had.

Op het park is een restaurant, helaas door besloten feest dit weekend niet open . Maar anders had ik daar lekker hapje gegeten.

Er zijn genoeg gelegenheden in de buurt en dicht bij. Via de gids die ik ontving van Natalie de eigenaresse lees je wat er allemaal in de buurt te doen is.

Het huisje was voor mij ideaal. Heel gezellig ingericht. Er is koffie en thee, een heerlijke douche , een fijn bed en een prachtige tuin waar je de vogeltjes hoort . Ik ondervond geen hinder van de snelweg. Het was heel rustig precies wat ik nodig had.

Ik raad het huisje zeker aan.

A really nice little cottage to stay in. The park has a really nice atmosphere.

We had a wonderful stay at this cottage. The cottage itself is very neat, clean, and truly equipped with all the amenities. The garden is also a gem. I did misjudge the garden a bit, though—it couldn’t be closed off, so my dogs were able to wander out of it. Not a major issue, of course, but something to keep in mind.

Heel fijn verblijf gehad in dit huisje. Het huisje zelf is heel netjes, schoon en echt van alle gemakken voorzien. Ook de tuin is een pareltje. Ik had mij wel een beetje verkeken op de tuin, deze was niet af te sluiten, waardoor mijn honden de tuin uit konden lopen. Niet onoverkomelijk natuurlijk, maar wel iets om rekening mee te houden.

I enjoyed the nature house immensely. The cottage is beautiful and fully equipped. Even a well-stocked bookshelves and cookbooks. In the garden is a nice lounge sofa to relax on. You can listen and watch the birds. The only downside is that you are close to the highway and so you always hear cars in the background. The park is complete: restaurant, swimming pool, store, playground and dog park. You walk straight into the forest and Zuidwolde is close by. I really enjoyed it!

Ik heb enorm genoten in het natuurhuisje. Het huisje is mooi en van alle gemakken voorzien. Zelfs een goed gevulde boekenkasten en kookboeken. In de tuin is een fijne loungebank om op te relaxen. Je kan lekker naar de vogeltjes luisteren en kijken. Het enige nadeel is dat je dicht aan de snelweg zit en dus altijd auto's op de achtergrond hoort. Dat doet wel wat af aan het rust gevoel, maar door de vogeltjes had ik alsnog het gevoel echt in de natuur te zijn.

Het park is volledig: restaurant, zwembad, winkeltje, speeltuin en een hondenparkje. Je loopt zo het bos in en Zuidwolde is dichtbij. Ik heb echt genoten!
